OFFICE SPACE NORTH DORSET
Mike Godden has been designing buildings for a long time but still enjoys the challenge that every new project brings.
Mike started his architectural career in swimming pools, designing pool complexes at Eton and Wellington Colleges, leisure pools for hotels both home and abroad as well as hydrotherapy pools for hospitals and equine therapy. He went on to work in London for a large commercial architects practise that specialised in office developments before setting up ARCC Architecture, a young exciting design led practice in Fulham with two colleagues. Moving to Hampshire with a young family saw a concentration on residential projects and an interest in decorative antiques led to setting up a successful interior furnishing business with his wife. Mike returned to architecture full time when the family moved to North Dorset, and having worked with several local architects, where he gained invaluable experience of listed and period property, he set up gda architecture in 2006.
gda architecture design building solutions for both contemporary and period homes, designing new homes, including conversions of buildings that have outlived their original purpose, alterations, extensions and refurbishments. gda architecture not only enjoy the design process but also the interaction with the client leading to the final design and on through the construction process until handing over the completed project.
