Sue Ryder had the pleasure of Grahams company today. “Wendy was right he is a workaholic, no coffees no biccies and not one word of complaint! ” Graham interviewed Daniel, Area support manager, as he went about his very busy day:
Well, I was nervous with it being my first appointment, but loved my day in Sue Ryder. They are a healthcare charity who care for people with life limiting & neurological conditions. Part of Daniel’s role at the moment is sourcing stock for the upcoming expansion of the Salisbury store. He says: “ if every business in the Wincombe centre could donate just 1 fabulous pre-loved item to us in unit 38, it would go a long way to making the opening a roaring success…..Books, jewellery, summer clothes, bric n brac, all items gratefully received.”
Perhaps I can spread the word on my travels!
Julie and Daniel look after 19 shops across Dorset, From Bridport to Highcliffe, Sherborne to Tidworth, you should see the huge map on their wall!
“We have a great team of incredible managers who work tirelessly to raise funds to support the 13 hospices and care centres that Sue Ryder support, to provide incredible care for incurable illness.”
They are passionate about what they do and are driven to keep the funds rolling in. If you can offer any help, time, donations, or undertaking a fundraising activity on our behalf, then I suggest you pop in to see them for a quick chat…..and boy does Julie like to chat!! Haha.
Noelia from unit 35 has been very active in offering introductory massages on behalf of Sue Ryder (perhaps I’ll go there next). Julie and Daniel wanted me to pass on their thanks to Noelia, they are very grateful to her as the funds roll in.
Well that’s it from Unit 38. Watch this space for my next Roving Report…..
