From humble beginnings…

Our huge congratulations go to Dave McTigue, a previous tenant of ours, who has just achieved his dream of his own jewellery boutique in Shaftesbury.

David started here in a small office unit which he converted to a bespoke workshop space, hand crafting all his furniture to fit the design and layout of his little ‘shop’.

But being on an industrial park was never his best fit, so he took a gamble and has spent the passed few months working hard to convert a shop on Bell Street into a beautiful space from which to work and sell his bespoke jewellery.

His launch night was a big success and everyone was very impressed with the jewellery on display, the beautiful decor, and yummy food that his lovely wife produced, passed round by their young son, who made a very smart little waiter.

As an apprentice David trained in various workshops, acquiring a broad range of skills and techniques including mounting, setting and polishing.

He has handmade commissions nationally throughout his career and for local jewellery retailers in the last 18 years.  Shaftesbury is a perfect setting for the creative studio where customers have the opportunity to access the craftsman first hand.

All work is carried out on the premises, and an evolving selection of bespoke designs in gold and platinum with precious stones are also sold.

The workshop is at 16a Bell Street.  Consultations are Tuesday -Friday between the hours of 10am – 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am – 2pm.
