Can cakes and coffee really make money?

Yes they can…
We hosted two events in September to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Charity. Firstly, all of the health, beauty and well being based at the centre, plus a few friends, joined forces to arrange an wellness event and coffee morning on Sunday 22nd September. Visitors had their colours done, received a massage, and advice on care, make up, dieting and so much more. The event was well attended and there was a large raffle on the day too.
Our second event was run by two fifteen year old Shaftesbury girls on Friday 27th October. Emily Ibbotson and Lydia Elphick were moved to run this coffee morning on their day off from school, as Emily had sadly lost her Uncle Nick to Cancer in April this year. The girls baked and then ran the coffee morning for the businesses at The Centre and raised a great deal of money.
The final total of £363.50 has just been banked for Macmillan.
It is great to see so many people standing together to raise money and spread the word about a charity that does so much to help those affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone who supported the events.
