Shaftesbury Business Awards 2024

What a FABULOUS day The Wincombe Centre team had at The Shaftesbury Business Awards last week!

Marketing West specialise in promoting and celebrating local business success and entrepreneurial spirit in the Dorset and surrounding areas, organising local ‘town’ business awards, an initiative that highlights and rewards the achievements of  businesses within the region. These awards serve not only as a recognition of business excellence but also as a platform for networking and business community engagement. And we were part of Shaftesbury’s awards celebrated on the 21st November 2024.

The Wincombe centre sponsored an award category. You could too!

Being at the heart of small business life here in Shaftesbury, The Wincombe Centre prides itself on its customer service, so we were delighted to be sponsoring the Outstanding Customer Service Award and headed off to the ceremony also shortlisted to receive an award too, so there was much excitement.

The awards are a great opportunity for networking too and all the nominees, sponsors, guests and organisers met for coffee and a buffet lunch before moving to this years superb venue The Shaftesbury Arts Centre Theatre!

First I had to step in for absent sponsors Stalbridge Linen and presented the awards for Best Restaurant and Best Pub, Cafe & Casual Dining.  Huge congratulations to La Fleur de Lys and King Alfred’s Kitchen.

I was back on the stage then to present the Outstanding Customer Service Awards.

Huge congratuations to Vita Skin and Hair Spa  and Branscome Kennels who both won SILVER awards.

and a big shout out to DCM Autocentres who won GOLD!

Then, with my role complete, the fun really started!!  The presentations for Best B2B Business in Shaftesbury began, with one of our wonderful virtual businesses, Richard from First Twenty Consulting winning the SILVER and us …..WINNING THE GOLD!!

AND…… it didn’t stop there. We were delighted (and totally shocked) to win overall SHAFTESBURY BUSINESS OF THE YEAR!

What a wonderful positive and feel-good day!

We are surrounded by talented, hardworking entrepreneurs and are proud to support them in any way that we can.
